Shamanic Mediumship weaves together the direct communication of mediumship with the deeper relational and healing practices of shamanic journeying. Rather than simply asking whether a spirit or presence is there, this work listens more deeply: Who or what is present? Why are they here? What are they experiencing? What is needed? From there, I journey with my helping spirits to understand the wider spiritual landscape and discern what form of healing, tending, transition, or restoration may be appropriate.

More Than Spirit Communication or Clearing

Shamanic Mediumship is not centered on simply communicating with spirits or removing them because they are present. A living landscape is not an empty landscape. The deeper question is whether the relationships within that landscape are in balance. Sometimes restoration involves transition through the shamanic healing practice of psychopomp. Sometimes it involves healing or tending the land. And sometimes it begins simply by listening to a being that has never truly been heard.

Mediumship lets the beings speak. Shamanic journeying reveals the wider landscape and what is needed. Shamanic healing tends what has been revealed. Restoration attends to the relationships affected by the work. Ritual anchors the healing in ordinary reality.

A Relational Approach to Spirit Work

Not every presence needs to be removed, and not every spirit needs to cross. The work may involve deceased people, deceased animals, ancestors, land or nature spirits, or other spiritual beings encountered through the practice. Each is approached according to its nature and what is revealed through mediumship and shamanic journeying.

The intention is not simply to make a presence disappear. It is to understand what is happening and help restore right relationship, where appropriate, in service to harmony and balance.
